About the Bursary Programme

Boston City Campus is inviting students to apply for its bursary programme for the 2026 and 2027 academic years.

Applications are generally open twice each year for:

  • Semester A
  • Semester B

The bursary supports studies at any Boston City Campus in South Africa and is available for students pursuing any field or qualification offered by the institution.

The bursary programme was originally established to help increase access to education and support students entering the workplace.

What the Bursary Covers

The bursary provides partial funding towards:

  • Tuition fees only

The bursary does not cover:

  • Outstanding fees
  • Stationery
  • External examination fees
  • Accommodation
  • Transport costs

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements before applying:

  • Must be 17 years or older
  • Applicants under 18 years old must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian
  • Must have completed Matric
  • May be a new or returning student at Boston City Campus
  • May study towards any qualification offered by Boston City Campus

Required Documents

Applicants will generally be required to submit the following supporting documents:

  • Copy of South African ID document
  • Latest Matric results or Matric certificate
  • Boston academic record or results (for returning students)
  • Motivational letter explaining why the bursary should be awarded

Applications with missing documents may not be accepted.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through the Boston City Campus Support Centre where the student plans to study or is currently studying.

The relevant support centre will advise applicants whether submissions should be completed:

  • Online, or
  • Via hard-copy application

Important Notes

After submitting an application:

  • Applicants should follow up with the support centre regarding results
  • The bursary committee will review applications after the closing date
  • Successful applicants will be contacted directly
  • If no feedback is received, the application was unfortunately unsuccessful

Additional conditions include:

  • Only one bursary may be used per semester
  • The bursary may not cover outstanding fees
  • The bursary cannot be transferred to another person
  • The bursary cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Students are responsible for any fees exceeding the bursary value

📅 Semester A 2027 Closing Date: 30 November 2026
