About the TFG YES Programme 2026
The purpose of the programme is to provide unemployed youth with valuable retail workplace experience over a 12-month period.
Successful participants will have the opportunity to:

- improve communication and interpersonal skills
- build teamwork and collaboration abilities
- develop discipline, reliability, and responsibility
Although the programme does not promise permanent employment, many YES Programme participants across South Africa have gone on to secure long-term opportunities after completing their placements.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
You must:
- be between 18 and 28 years old
- preferably have Matric
- be available for a fixed-term 12-month contract
- not have worked permanently for a single employer for longer than 12 consecutive months
- not be enrolled in full-time studies between April 2026 and March 2027
- not have previously participated in a YES Programme
- be able to cover your own transport and accommodation costs
- be prepared to work within a retail store environment
Preference will be given to designated groups in accordance with the Employment Equity Act.
